As a rubber production combined with steel and other materials, tires can be eroded slowly by chemicals, oil, heat, and ozone. The main raw materials of tires include natural rubber and synthetic rubber from petroleum products, so tires exposed to high temperatures heat or fire sources will cause fires that are difficult to extinguish.
Tires should be stored in a cool, dry, clean warehouse to prevent rain, dust, and light. Tires should be placed away from electric generators/motors and sources of heat such as hot pipes. Storage surfaces should be clean and free of grease, gasoline, diesel fuel, or other substances that can deteriorate the rubber. Please rotate tires every month if they are upright in storage. If tires have to be stored outdoors, the place should be:
Improper storage can damage your tires in ways that may not be visible and can lead to a
failure resulting in serious personal injury or death.
Avoid mixing with trucks transporting oil and chemicals. Tire transport vehicles should be equipped with adequate fire equipment. When using a forklift to handle truck tires, install the correct accessories for the forklift, such as tire stackers, tire handlers, etc. Any improper handling ways may cause damage to the tire. For example, the keen-edged forks can bring damage to the bead if you use the forklift without proper accessories.
Proper mounting procedures must be followed or sudden tire destruction, personal injury or death may result. Tire mounting must be done only by personnel trained, supervised and equipped according to local regulations and following the processes requirement of the industries. Always inflate tire/rim assembly in an approved safety cage or equivalent restraining device
